Use case: Agencies

Website visitor identification for agencies

Last updated: 12 October 2026

How agencies use website visitor identification to win new business, run it across client websites, and resell it under their own brand. What to check before you choose a tool.

The short answer

Agencies use website visitor identification in three ways: to win new business from their own website, to run it across their clients' websites, and to sell it to clients under their own brand. Warm AI supports all three. You can track several client websites under one account, send visitors to HubSpot, Slack, HeyReach or Valley, and, as a partner, resell Warm through its Partner API so your clients never see a Warm AI login.

What Warm returns depends on where visitors are. US visitors can be shown as named people, with their LinkedIn profile and email address where available. UK, EU and all other visitors are shown as companies.

1. Win new business from your own website

Most people who visit an agency's website never fill in the contact form. Visitor identification shows you which companies read your case studies, service pages and pricing, so your team can follow up while the interest is recent.

For agencies that sell into the US, Warm also shows named US visitors, so you can send them straight into a LinkedIn campaign in HeyReach or Valley.

2. Run visitor identification for your clients

You can add several websites under one Warm AI account. Each website gets its own tracking code, and every site draws from the same monthly identification allowance. Adding a client means adding their website in your dashboard and putting the tracking code on their site, and you watch one allowance instead of managing a separate subscription for each client.

Common ways agencies use it for clients:

  • Prove campaign impact. Show clients which target companies visited after a LinkedIn or Google Ads campaign, including companies that never filled in a form. In the UK and EU this covers visitors who accept cookies.
  • Feed client outbound. Send identified visitors to HubSpot, alerts to Slack or email, and named US visitors into HeyReach or Valley campaigns.
  • Prioritise accounts. See which companies keep coming back and which pages they read, so the client's sales team knows who to call first.

3. Resell visitor identification under your own brand

If you want visitor identification inside your own dashboard or product, Warm's Partner API is built for that. As a partner you can:

  • Create an account for each client through the API, with its own key, tracking code and monthly allowance.
  • Pull each client's identified visitors into your own reporting.
  • Keep the experience yours. Clients never need a Warm AI login. They see your dashboard, not ours.
  • Set your own prices. Warm bills you an agreed wholesale rate for each identification your clients use, and you charge your clients whatever you choose.

Partner access is switched on by Warm, and the wholesale rate is agreed with you directly. Book a call to talk about partner terms.

What agencies should check in any visitor identification tool

QuestionWhy it matters for an agency
Can one account track several websites?Separate subscriptions for every client add cost and admin
How is it priced?Per website, per seat or per identification changes your margin on every client
Can you resell it under your own brand?Decides whether it can become a service you sell, or stays a tool you use
What does it show in each country?Named people are usually limited to US visitors. Ask what the tool shows for UK and EU visitors
Does the tracker wait for cookie consent? In the UK and EU, consent is usually needed on each client's website, and the client's cookie banner has to cover the tracker
Which tools does it connect to?The data has to reach the client's CRM and outreach tools to be useful
Is there a long contract?Agency client lists change. Monthly plans let you scale up and down

In the UK and EU, a visitor identification tracker usually needs consent through the website's cookie banner. When you run Warm on a client's website, the client's cookie banner and privacy notice need to cover it. Warm's tracker works with common cookie banners, including Cookiebot, OneTrust, CookieYes and HubSpot's cookie banner, and with Google Consent Mode v2. In those regions it only records visitors after the banner gives consent, so a client website with no supported banner will show no UK or EU visitors.

Agree in writing with each client who sets up the cookie banner and who answers data requests. Warm offers a data processing agreement on request. Our guides to cookie consent and GDPR explain the rules.

Frequently asked questions

Can I track several client websites on one Warm AI account?

Yes. Each website gets its own tracking code, and all your websites share the account's monthly identification allowance.

Can I white-label Warm AI?

Yes, through the Partner API. You create and manage each client's account through the API, your clients never log into Warm, and you set your own prices. Partner access is switched on by Warm.

How much does Warm AI cost for an agency?

Plans are priced by identifications per month, from £89 a month for 50 IDs, with no setup fees. A company uses 1 ID and a named person in the US uses 2. Partners reselling Warm pay an agreed wholesale rate per identification instead.

Will I see named people for my clients' UK visitors?

No. Warm shows UK, EU and all other non-US visitors as companies. Named people, with LinkedIn profile and email where available, are shown for US visitors only.

Do my clients need a cookie banner?

For UK and EU visitors, yes. Warm only records those visitors after the website's cookie banner gives consent, so a client website with no supported banner will show no UK or EU visitors.

Can identified visitors go straight into outreach campaigns?

Yes. Named US visitors can be sent to HeyReach lists or Valley campaigns, and companies can be sent to HubSpot.
